Sometimes birds will eat small pebbles or an item like yours did to help break up their food. This is why birds have a gizzard - it helps grind up their food. The stone or iron bolt will reside in the gizzard and aid in digestion. So my thought is that this is not an item to worry about; however, you should call your vet to ensure all is well.

I dunno...if it was really sharp or rusty, there's reason for concern. I'd call an emergency vet who specializes in birds and ask for his or her opinion. Your chicken may need an operation to get the bolt out safely.

There is a good chance the weight of the bolt will literally tear a hole in his anus upon exit...

Hmmm, an iron deficiency, perhaps?

More importantly, why do you feel compelled to re-post this question several times?
