Can anyone tell me the name of a herbivorous bird, and a herbivorous reptile? Also; does anyone know whether you need to provide water for barn owls or do they just get moisture from their food?

(Before you all look at me weirdly, no I'm not harbouring an injured barn owl. I just want to know.)

I have a 5 year old "Duke". His mother was a registered Golden Retriever & his father was a registered White German Shepherd. Duke looks like a golden retriever and weighs 100#. My question is what is the best feed for him; should it be all dry or is it OK to mix other food to add to the variety. I have always mixed left over meats & sometimes potatoes and vegetables in his meal. I really want to do what is best for Duke as he is a cherished member of our family. I feel that there are many foods that are a "no no" regarding what he is fed. He does have Hip Dysplasia and is regularly attended to by a veterinarian. My question is solely on "what is best for Duke" and I feel I may be feeding him incorrectly. He also receives other treats during the day with the main meal being in the evening. The dry foods he has been receiving are "beef flavored Gravy Train" and Pedigree Kibbles and Chunks mixed half & half. Please indicate absolute "no-no's" regarding his diet.
Thank you!

We are frozen in here about a week. The other day I threw some crackers out for the birds. Later my friend said salt is bad for the birds. Did I kill the birds with thesse crackers?? They were bacon cheese flavor.

I'm not familiar with those, so I can't be specific about the ...variety they are. They belong to my landloard.

In California, we're experiencing "the big chill" and temperatures are in the 20's. We already cover our birds up with a blanket on their cage, and they seem to do fine but I wanted to know if there i any other way to keep them warmer without buying anything or spending...TY

I have a red lored amazon, she is 4 years old and such a sweetie. She can't talk but she does make a little "thank you" noise.
Does anyone have a Red lored that talks? Or just a red lored in general? Just wondering... ;)

My landloard has two cocktiels outside in a small wire cage with just one bird box in there for "protection" and for nesting. Lately, we've experience several days of temperature just below 40 degrees Farenh. It's it too cold for the birds out there?

I'm basically looking for someone who knows FOR SURE, what the temperature limitations (max and minimum) are for those type of birds.

Please help me build a strong case so that when I bring it to his attention I might convince him to protect them better or maybe someday he can give them to someone else.

There is a nest of owls outside of my backyard that is filled with baby owls. Now one of them is following me everywhere I go! What do I do? Obviously, can't shoot it because
1. it's against the law
2. i don't even have anything close to a firearm (except some tiny rubber bands)
3. it's too cute

I got two baby budgies a month ago at around 8 wks - now they are 11wks. One of them had this muted green soft poop from the begining - but no other symtoms. The other one is very normal. A couple days ago this turned into runny poop. Is Eating and Drinking Well. She now rests more then before but does play a bit inbetween. Still looks healthy other then those two things.

They both came from a Hobby Breeder and her birds looked VERy healthy and well cared for. They are almost twice the sz of my 5 months Pet store ones. They were the 1st and 2nd born. Are there any natural things I could try ?
