Because a cuckoo does not raise it's own young.
They lay eggs in the nest of another bird and let them take care of their young.
Often the young cuckoo will throw the original birds out of the nest.

In short: it's not a nice bird ;)

In Europe and Asia the species of cuckoo there is a nest parasite. It will lay its eggs in the nest of other birds and let the other birds raise its young. The cuckoo chick is larger than the other chicks and will throw them out of the nest. That being said, I dont think they would use a crows nest. They target smaller song birds. The cuckoo chick would be smaller than a crow chick. In the United States our cuckoos are not nest parasites. The parents raise their own young. Here cowbirds do the same thing. Again, they use smaller song birds as hosts.

A cuckoo lays its eggs in the nest of a crow because the cuckoo's babies when hatch are black in color like a crow .So the crow thinks that they are his own babies and takes care of them.
