your landlord should just let you have them if he is no longer able/willing to care for them.... its called adoption..otherwise cockatiels are pretty cheap... I'd say no more than 100 bucks for the cage/birds/and all.....smile...good luck

a good group to join is: (they helped me out sooo much plus they also have a parot placement page)

Pet store price would be between $80 and $120 each, depending on the kind of cocktiel, so anything less than $80 would be a good price. Make sure the birds are very tame or you'll end up unhappy. Play with them for a while to see how they interact with you. I paid $60 for one that turned out to be a real pain. I bought it from a private party and I took their word that it was tame, but she was awful!! I ended up giving it away for a breeder. I should have taken the time to get to know it before the purchase.

It depends on how tame your birds are . If they are tame and handable, you should be able to pretty much dictate the price you are willing to spend or part with your birds. Also their mutations also will determine their "worth". White-faced cockatiels are among the the rarest and most expensive cockatiels that I have come accross.

You didn't say if the birds are breeder, proven, and bonded. that will influence the cost, too.

It's not much of an answer, but how can you put a price on a life?

I think what your land Lord should care most about is if they will have a good home and a happy life.
