Whenever I do hamstring stretches like touching toes from standing or sitting down, I feel a pull on the back of my knees and not my hamstrings.

I've asked other people and they say they feel it in their hamstrings (back of thighs, above the knee). But I only feel it on the back of my knee and hurts like hell, and I don't move forward in the stretch at all..

Whats wrong with me?

....and I'm not talking atkins because I think that diet plan calls for a little too low of carbs, not to mention, not the biggest variety in food. I have 10lbs to lose. Low calorie/fat diet plus exercise isn't working for me. I would like to try low carb, but would like to hear some success stories and results. How much did you lose and how long did it take? Any side affects? any suggestions?

I have just started this 12 month training programme from a magazine called Muscle&Fitness and my first months plan is something like this :Day1=Chest+Back
:Day2=Traps,Delts+Abs
:Day3=Rest
:Day4=Biceps+Triceps
:Day5=Legs
:Day6=Abs.

So I wanted to know that because I am only training eg: Biceps once a week if they will have much effect on mucsle growth over the 12 months and also changing the programme slightly?

Are bananas AT ALL unhealthy? because most of the time i consume around 2 bananas a day. One with my slimfast shake and one with my protein shake.

Hi. I'm thirteen. I've lost some weight, but gained it back. I'm not anorexic, I want to be healthy.
I want a tight stomach with abs, toned legs and arms, and i want to look good!
How many calories should I eat?
How long do I need to run on the treadmill?
How do you do the right situp? I cross my arms over my chest, and go up off the ground only about 5 cm, is that about right?

i want to lose around 15-20 or more pounds by janurary 7-19..
i started my diet 3 or 4 days ago and ive been eating fruits (not TOO much) some vegetable with LITTTLE chicken (cooked in water and lemon) and sometimes id have a tiny spoon of penut butter because i hear its good for you.. and lots of water. sometimes i grab a handful of special K cereal and eat that without milk because milk is fattening and i want to lose weight fast!

i want to lose weight fast because i want to feel better about my self and look skinny for my job interviews that i hope ill get. but mostly because i want to be thin, very badly. so HELP :DD<3

I'm trying to lose weight (117 pounds, but I'm short), and my grandmother had success on a carb-free diet. Problem; I love my veggies, but aren't vegetables basically all carbs? When you look up the nutrition facts for a steak, does it list if the fat is eaten, or do you have to cut the fat out to get these nutritional numbers? What I mean is basically, is the fat incorporated in the meat (nonvisible) in the nutrition info numbers, or is that including visible fat?

for example, if a 3oz sirloin steak has 24 grams of protein, 0 grams of carbs, and 5 grams of fat according to a nutritional information site, and I don't trim the visible fat when I eat it, is the fat content I'm eating really higher? or did they take that part into account, meaning that if you DO trim that fat, you're actually getting less fat than what the facts say?
