For the sake of exercise, I always try and walk up stairs rather than take the lift/elevator. What about going down the stairs? Is it any better than walking on level ground? Or is it actually easier?

I heard something about it relaeasing the opiates in the lettuce, thats why the base of it is brown, cos its got opiates in it.

been smoking 20 yrs now and i want to stop i just packed in drinking after years of abuse so i know i'm pretty strong but is it too early to quit the smoking am i taking too much on at once.would be nice to hear from previous smokers...how did you manage?Cancer is rife in my family so i know about the health implications but addictions arent logical or i would have packed up years ago

and other drinks with no callories............can you lose 30 lbs in those 40 days. She is starting today and will stop the 2nd day of august. sum 1 i kno is doing it. and it's really freaking me out. i kno sum 1on here will go on and on about how it's not healthy n stuff n that i need to tlk to her and she needs to get some help fron a doctor or sumthin. we cant have fat burning liquid if we drink it it only dissolves the fat deposits in the body without harming human tissue. Why is it such difficult to make?

building the upper abbs is fairly easy, but how do u aim to workout the lower abbs, the normal situps and crunches, doesnt seem to work.

I was appalled when I saw some overweight BABIES on the Maury Povich show. 2-year-old at 70 lbs, 3-year-old at 80 lbs, 4-year-old at 110 lbs. The mothers sat there and talked about how they put them on diets...of ice cream, potato chips, soda, fried chicken, etc. and gave them all the food the kids wanted. What is wrong with these people? Am I missing something? And the mothers were no skinny minnies either. These little kids are helpless in that they can only eat what their mothers give them. To me, in a way, this is almost like child abuse.

I'm on my 4th week of Weight Watchers and have been eating low fat things.... tonight I had 17 pst left so I thought I'd treat myself to dbl cheeseberger and sm fries from McDs. almost 2 hours after eating I began to feel violently nauseous. I threw up everything all the way to bile and beyond...... I mean like when I had food poisoning 2 yrs ago. Was it my body not being used to it? OR the past 3 nights I've been training @ my new job in a deli..... salm or ecoli from there? (no I didn't wash my hands when I got home....)

OK guys, I just bought a DVD called "Dance it off!" It's by Prevention.

I was really excited because it sounded like a lot of fun!! Dancing to lose weight. Well it was kind of corny - it'll still be fun, but I am wondering if anyone can recommend a good dancing workout video - I prefer hip-hop, but it doesn't matter as long as it is FUN and HIP!!!!!

I need to know if I should be working out every day or perhaps every other day?

I was thinking about working out 4 days a week: working out 3 days (back to back) with cardio and weight training for about an hour then taking a class (kick-boxing or hip-hop) on the fourth day and resting for three days?
Does this sound reasonable or should I alternate days?

im 5'7, 132lbs.

I am 5'7, 132 lbs. I just started running for about 45 mins and doing sit-ups. My goal is to have a flat stomach, toned arms, and tight thigs without lossing too much weight.

Lately I go for a couple of days hardly eating anything, the next couple of days I'll eat way too much(almost constantly). I'm not over or under weight, I never gain or lose more than a couple of pounds.I'm late 30s, male. I had my blood checked about 2 months ago, everything was ok. Is this healthy?
