I am 5'7, 132 lbs. I just started running for about 45 mins and doing sit-ups. My goal is to have a flat stomach, toned arms, and tight thigs without lossing too much weight.
How can I go about doing so and seeing results within 2 months or so?

DIET -- eat a high-protein, high-fiber, low-fat, no-sugar and no-red-meat diet.

SIT-UPS: get to where you can do 100 nonstop before breakfast and before dinner.

Circuit training on weight-lifting equipment --every other day ONCE your situps are up to speed.

I am a 26 year old guy that has been working out consistently for 5 days a week for almost 8 years and have compiled some knowledge. What I have seen is that the biggest thing is what you eat. Look at what you said, you work out for nearly one hour a day. What about the other 23 hours? Working out is such a short part of the day. Eat better. I am not talking about fad diets. Take in less fat and simple carbs. Basically eat chicken and whole wheat. I helped train two guys and over a year here are their results. One guy weighed 250 and dropped to 180 and the other went from 225 to 160. This was over a year. They ate boiled chicken with brown rice or other healthy meals for 6 days a week and on the 7th day ate whatever they want to keep the cravings away. They also ran moderately for 30 minutes 6 times a week. Keep exercising and eating well and you will notice a difference. Keep the fat intake low. Also remember, there are no miracles. Most people don't stick with a diet because they don't eat right and/or see results within a few days. Keep at it. BE CONSISTENT! Do not do sit-ups everyday! Most people don't realize that your abs are a muscle too and it needs rest. You did not get the way you are overnight and changing it will not happen overnight either. Another thing I noticed about what you said is that it seems you want something short term. If you want what you say you want, it is a lifestyle. Do weights too. You cannot tone nothing. You need muscle. I am 5'9, 200, 15% body fat. I mainly concentrate on weight lifting and not cardio. You need muscle to have tone arms. There is no legal, safe, quick fix. Work hard and you will see results. Get a trainer or train with someone. The key to a good weight lifting workout is proper form. Obviously I can go on and on, so respond to my response and I will respond =).

it sounds like you are in pretty good shape. sometimes people hit a plateu where they need to increase the amount of reps or sets they are doing to see and more muscle gain. try different types of ab exercises. Womens health usually has some to liven up a work out. good luck. and if you don't want to lose much weight try not to do too much cardio although 45 minute shouldn't be too much you will start gaining weight in muscle and loosing the fat so maybe don't be too worried about the scale.

I have this leather belt that has five notches on it. It was almost tight on me. It was on the last notch. I could barely breathe. When I would do it up, I could barely do it up. And I remember that belt, because I had it for years, and I used to be able to easily put it on. And that's when I could really see that I was getting a little wider than I wanted to be.
So when I started the program, I was on the last notch. And now that belt with the five notches is way too big for me. I can pull it out to here, and I've saved the belt to remember just how much weight I've lost.

I'd recommend the website daily burn if you don't want to spend a lot and have trouble planning workouts or finding time to do them. It have tons of workouts for all different fitness levels and types of results. There are 7 different trainers in case you do not like one and they have short 15 minute workouts all the way up to 90 minute ones. They also have a dance workout if you need to make it a little more fun. As far as the fruit and water, don't do it!! You need your food groups. Lots of veggies because you can eat them without taking in a ton of calories. I'd recommend lots of salad (not a lot of dressing), celery, and stuff of that nature. Eat bananas and other fruits. Avoid beef and pork, and choose egg whites instead of whole eggs. Feel free to eat fish and chicken (not fried). Avoid added salts, and sugar, fruits have plenty of natural sugars. You';; need to workout consistently whether its dailyburn or not and walking helps a lot but I'd recommend mixing in a little more intense cardio. Drink lots of water. Of course no fast food, soda, watch out for juices and teas. Whatever you do don't take in less than 1200 calories, and I wouldn't do more than 1800. Just be sure you know what you're eating, read the labels and avoid empty calories, and take in complex carbs. Hope this helps, congrats, and good luck!

There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.

1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.

2) The interval between the eating is very important. If you eat once, then you must eat next after 4 hours. You must take breakfast regularly. In the night eat your food three hours before going to bed.

3) Walking is very good. You must walk as much as you can. Walk everywhere you can. Use of elevators and escalators must be reduced and instead of these you must climb stairs more often.

These are some of the fastest ways to lose weight. By just following the simple steps, you can lose your weight very quickly. You must consult your doctor if want to change your diet or exercise routine.

Just do exercise. And watch how much you eat a day.Maybe cut down on how much you eat,but eat foods that will that last you awhile, that way you wont be hungry as much through out the day. If you eat something you shouldn't,then after get right back on track, and you will be fine

If you just want to tone up without losing weight then do strength training on your target areas. Dont run because that will cause you to lose weight! Just do sit ups, arm bands and leg lifts to tone up!
