If I'm taking St. John's Wort, will it be safe to take the gas while at the dentist's office?

Every night I go to sleep then I wake up with this terrible toothache. It keeps me up all night but by the morning it just disappears.

I have a dentist appointment but not for a few days as I'm not staying at home right now.

Does anyone know:
- What it is?
- Why it's happening?
- How to ease the pain?

It's one of the most painful things I've ever experienced (you know them toothaches) so can anyone help me with this?

I don't have a terrible toothache as long as I brush my teeth twice or three times a day. Flossing helps too! The only gross part is that I get food stuck in that mini gap... so I've become addicted to listerine.

I have braces and today the dentist told me that i needed them taken out. they said it would probably be best for me to wait until I get my braces off. Which they said would probably be in maybe..6 months..at the longest. Only one of them is poking through. I'm terrified at the thought of getting put to sleep.I plan on telling them to do it while im awake. If I do this what should i expect? any advice and help would be great! thanks =)

Help, In February I got a crown put on my tooth. It's been fine but now it hurts again. Is it crown related? Can you get a cavity in a tooth with a crown or is it a automatically more serious because it has a crown? I'm so scared of what my dentist will say and am too broke to pay for anything complicated.

I just had a filling put in 5 days ago and the tooth is hurting whenever I chew on it. I have only tried really soft food like noodles and bread and I waited to chew on it for 2 days and it still hurts. It was a really deep feeling, the filling is a white one and its on a molar tooth. Could it just still be sensitive from having all the work done on it? He told me I would probably need a crown within a year, so could the tooth be too fragile to eat on? I am going to call my dentist tomorrow if this is still going on.

Its been 8 days. I was stupid and smoked in the first few days and got a dry socket. This is not worth any high from anything you smoke so just deal without. I had gauze in which I was to remove today, and I did, of course since the gauze was there the hole never closed up, from just eyeballing it it is about half the size. I still get light bleeding when I brush my teeth and there is still pain but its not nearly as unbearable as it was and it is easily taken care of with advil. Wondering if I will be able to smoke again later tonight or if it can possibly get worse somehow. All of the other holes are totally closed. Ive been very careful and made sure to rinse with salt water and keep all food out of the remaining hole.

After 3 years of treatment to have them straightened, and they are still noticeably crooked, my dentist now says that there is nothing else that can be done, and i would have to pay an additional $3000 to further treatment, is there anything that can be done?? I have rights dont i? They basically took my money and ran. For the record, my teeth were not even that bad for the initial treatment to take 3 years.

i heard from my uncle that a feller he knew was buying the nicotine gum, on the paket is says that you should chew the gum and then leave it at the side of your mouth for 20 mins. so the feller was using it for weeks and noticed he had saw gums, went to the doctors when he was told it was the gum.
i am doing a project in school about this can anyone give me any reasons or even if it has happened to them.
would love to hear thanks.

So, I got 7 shots of novacaine from the dentist around 7:45. The numbing has just recently gone away (12:45), and I was wondering when the really really painful soreness of my jaw will go away.

I can barely open my mouth until I can't any more. On the left side, between my upper and lower jaws, there's what feels like a tendon and it is really sore. If I force my mouth open with my fingers it hurts the tendon. It also really hurts to swallow anything, even saliva. Why is this like this? Should I be concerned?

And why is it "toothpaste" and not "teethpaste"? Did the inventor only have one tooth?

it is in the joint, it's definitely a sore muscle, hurts especially when i open my mouth all the way. it's just one side, but it has been going on for a week now. at first i thought i was clenching my teeth in my sleep (i have been stressed & known to do that) but it isn't any better after a week. could this be a sign of an abcess or something else?

My top row of teeth are fine; It's the bottom row that would need to have braces. Would the cost still be the same or would it be lower? I have a feeling some dentists may insist on putting braces on both rows of teeth, even if one row is fine.

I know I'll get rotten teeth, but what else? I heard that you can get a heart attack if you stop brushing your teeth. Anything else?

My dentist's rates are cheaper if you don't have insurance...this seems unfair since I have to pay 50% with my insurance.
