sometimes i get this funny yellow thing coming out of my tonsils? when i scratch my tonsils it comes flying out. what are they and what causes them. am i eating something bad? what can i do to stop it?
does everyone have them?

Hi, these are called tosil stones. They are made up of dead bacteria and lymphatic fluid cells.
They occur when the tonsils are doing their proper job of keeping you from getting a serious throat infection.
You can't really stop this process, nor do you want to.

Yup, they are tonsil stones. It's actually a normal thing. It'a part of the activity of the tonsil - to filter foreign bodies to enter the digestive tracts. They are made up of dead bacteria and lymphatic fluid cells. If you feel itchiness on your tonsil, perhaps it's a problem. Make use of OraMD, mouthwash and breath freshener and also bacteria fighter to keep mouth free from infection caused by certain bad bacteria.

I have that problem also. I try to get as much out as I can or else my tonsils start to swell. :) You are not alone.
