i heard from my uncle that a feller he knew was buying the nicotine gum, on the paket is says that you should chew the gum and then leave it at the side of your mouth for 20 mins. so the feller was using it for weeks and noticed he had saw gums, went to the doctors when he was told it was the gum.
i am doing a project in school about this can anyone give me any reasons or even if it has happened to them.
would love to hear thanks.

yes..you do get burning gums...so i couldnt use the nicoteine gum & it gave me terrible burning sensations in my chest & throat.....and it was a little bit like bad indigestion. it was very uncomfortable...so i stopped using it. it also tastes very, very horrible...even worse than cigarettes!

i find that nicoteine patches are much easier to use...& actually work - if you are in the right state of mind to quit!! (saying that...i enjoy my ciggies...so still smoke - naughty me!!)

The delivery of nicotine into the body by the gumis very different than by smoking it.
"saw" gums would show scaring from trauma of the gum being kept by the gums for too long, this is known as irritation trauma.
