No, don't listen to them. Back in the day, they had a special tool, they would use to clean their teeth, but they could only clean one tooth at a time, unlike today. Watch Shakespeare in Love to see what I am talking about.

No detailed answer need to this question. i explain simply. The rowdies in cenema will say often kidnapping a wife or a son or a daughter for something. it is their dialogue. ''i know if i do harm to you, this will echo him'' ''if i hit here and pain will be there'' understand this? if i hit here the pain will be there. How? it is affection. so, if one tooth brighten by the brush, every tooth brighten so it is called tooth brush since a brush can not clear a single tooth. please compare this with if i hit here the pain will be there.

The tooth brush was invented in the deep south. They never bothered to change the name because sales were low anyway.

Because it's English.

Grammar/spelling/punctuation tend to get skewed. Ex.: the pronunciations of: tough, though, trough, through, etc.
