I am just wondering... after using Listerine, is it ok to rinse my mouth out with water to get the flavor of the Listerine out of my mouth or does this defeat the purpose of using Listerine?

Thanks,

Liz

I have wisdom teeth growing in on the tops and bottoms of each side of my mouth and recently i've noticed that one of my lower ones tastes and smells horrible!!! I can't describle the smell...its disgusting...like something old and rotten. The i just went to the dentist about a week ago and everything was fine with my teeth but i am so scared as to what is going on..has anyone had this problem before? I think it might be a bacterial infection. The dentist said my teeth arent ready to be removed yet but i don't care i want to get rid of this it is horrible

She has had pain in her gums for the last few months, and some doctors thought it was an infection and gave her antibiotics. she was a little better, but nothing really changed and then 3 days ago, her pain intensified so badly that she went straight to the dentists crying, and they pulled out a teeth. and she was OK for the rest of that day, but then again, yesterday morning, the pain was back and she again went to the doctors and they thought it was probably a nerve problem within her gums, that night, she went to the hospital for an MRI, and they didnt give her one, but instead gave an inflamitory injection to her jaw, and it helped a little. she then found a new doctor, because the other ones were all going to their weekends, and he again gave her antibiotics because he says that he cant send her in for an MRI because it costs 2500 dollars and we dont have insurance. Does anyone here know what the problem is? has anyone had it before?

This area bleeds slightly after flossing, and itches like crazy... especially after I eat. But I am confused why because I floss and brush regularly and it never used to bleed before, only after my braces got tightened. Is this only a result of my teeth shifting? How can I make the itch go away?

I am twelve with REALLY bad teeth. I'm going to braces for anywhere between 4-8 years, including headset. But I have SEVEN baby teeth left and i usually only loose one every year. I have heard of people having to have baby teeth extracted and adult teeth pulled in to have braces. Do you think this will happen to me?

I just got bands and expanders in two days ago and the pain has been horrible. I can't eat much cuz my molars are sore and the expander on top keeps getting food stuck in it. Will I be used to the expander on top, or will it annoy me for 12 weeks? Also, how long till the expanders and bands stop hurting?

Yesterday i had a tooth removed from the back of my mouth.
Previous to this i have had 3 abscess at different times in the last 3 months was given antibiotics completed the course.
Whilst i was in the chair yesterday i could feel it swell up in seconds when i was being injected in the gum, some of the swelling had gone by last night just a bit.
Now i have woke up this morning and it looks like i have a second jaw no pain.
When should the swelling ease up ??? or go completly.
Thank you

2 weeks ago, I went to the dentist after having a severe toothache. Routine check up and an x-ray where I claimed the teeth was hurting but nothing was found.
The teeth hurting are the ones usually very sensitive to hot/cold, I told the dentist this, to which he then said it may just be the sensitiveness working up, I was recommended to use toothpaste specific for sensitive teeth and it should get better. It didn't.
I now figured that the pain was coming from the nerves, rather than the teeth or gums as such. The pain comes on completely randomly but I almost always have a big episode just before I sleep. The pain is only on the left side. I do have sensitive teeth and gums so I won't rule that out as a possibility, it just doesn't look like that pain from sensitive teeth can be so persistent.
Do I really just have sensitive teeth or does it look like something else (e.g., root canal)? What else can I take/do to help sensitive teeth besides flossing and the stupid toothpaste??

And please I know I have to see a dentist, and yes, I've already done that and have taken antibiotics, but I would like to know is there a certain mouthwash that kills the pain, Nerve Tooth Pain is what I'm dealing with and I don't have dental coverage to keep going back to the dentist. I have taken the antibiotics along with Ibuprofin and Tylenol, I refrain from Narcotic pain pills since they are addicting. Any home remedies that I can try Please? Anyone????
TY.
