This area bleeds slightly after flossing, and itches like crazy... especially after I eat. But I am confused why because I floss and brush regularly and it never used to bleed before, only after my braces got tightened. Is this only a result of my teeth shifting? How can I make the itch go away?

your gums are bleeding simply because theyre sensitive. yes, it could be a result of the braces moving the teeth. your mouth isnt used to it. bleeding is completely normal with braces. trust me. ive had them for 3 years. its normal. dont worry about it.

After carefully study of your question, and having been an orthodontist for the past 45 1/2 years, I would say that you have a very serious medical problem. Drop what you are doing RIGHT NOW and go to the emergency room. I've seen this before. It is very rare. Without prompt medical attention, you will most likely die within 2-3 days. Good luck, I hoped this helped you out!
