Check in your area for local church charities, many times they are able to help.

I recently graduated from dental hygiene school. A lot of our patients did not have dental insurance and little money. I suggest that you go to a dental school to get your work done. The work is cheaper and they do a nice job. The Professors are right there and they would not let anything go wrong. You get good work done and it's affordable, you just need to accept that you may be there longer than if you went to a dental office.

Check with your local Social Services. There may be dentists who donate some of their time/services for free. If they aren't helpful, call a few dentist offices and see if any participate in events offering free dental care to the community. I live in NC and once a year the dentists in our town hold a free clinic. Good luck.

Check with senior citizens groups/centers in your area and see if there's anyone that does dental work on a sliding scale fee or free. Sometimes organizations have health fairs where they have someone available for a day. There's always events like that advertised in our local newspaper (Florida).

You need to contact a social service agency to see what can be found. Since you have Internet access, you should be able to do some searches to get a start on that, usually beginning with the county, city or state.
One number is called ElderLink at 414-289-6874
Here's a list of links I found quickly....

Contact your local or state dental association and and see if there are any dentists who provide free or reduced cost care for low-income, disabled or senior patients.
Call your local health department and ask about health centers that provide dental care for free or on a sliding scale.
Go to a dental school, if there is one near you, for reduced costs.
Check http://www.toothwoman.net to see if low-cost or free dental services are available near you.
Check http://bphc.hrsa.gov and choose "Find a Health Center" to see if there is a low-cost clinic near you.
Check http://www.nfdh.org/DDS.html to see if your state has a "Donated Dental Services" program. D.D.S. is designed to locate dentists who will give free care to patients who are financially compromised due to medical problems. This is a process that will take a couple of months to get your information and then arrange for someone to see you. Not all states have D.D.S. programs.
