It varies form where you live and how long your going to need them. When a dentist gives you an estimate, most of the time it includes not only the braces, but also the cost of all the office vists you'll have to attend however long you have them. It should also include your retainer and stuff like that. Mine, 2 years ago, in West Texas, for 18 months were 4500$. Hope this helps!

Different places charge different amounts. Mine cost $4800. (That includes all of the appointments, by the way.) I have two insurances, so it actually is only costing me $1800 out of pocket. Wait until you can get a good job somewhere with benefits and then get braces.

Here's a calculator for the estimated cost of braces. You select your nearest town and then choose "Orthodontics."
http://www.bracesinfo.com/dentalcosts/
Most orthodontists let you pay by the month, so you don't have to come up with the total cost at once.

$3,000 would be toward the lower end of the spectrum these days, I think, though it will depend a lot on the complexity of the work, how long you'd need to have them on, and what materials/method the orthodontist uses.
It's absolutely worth it, though. I wore braces when I was a teen & am eternally grateful to my parents - and my orthodontist.
Good luck.

It depends if you have some coverage it could cost between 500-1000. But if you don't you're looking closer to 2000.
