I am just wondering... after using Listerine, is it ok to rinse my mouth out with water to get the flavor of the Listerine out of my mouth or does this defeat the purpose of using Listerine?

Thanks,

Liz

If you don't like the taste of Listerine, then don't use it.
It has an insignificant antibacterial effect on your dental health, despite all the glorious advertising.
It has been estimated that to have a beneficial effect, you would have to be using it 10x daily. Simple brushing and flossing is more than enough.

It's best to let it stay in your mouth without eating or drinking for about 30 min. It continues to work after you've spit most of it out. You can rinse, but you will receive the maximum health benefits if you don't.

If you hate the flavor, just try a different type. There are multiple different flavors out now, many of which do not have the burning sensation of the original listerine.

you dont ought to apply listerine itself yet you want to be employing something to bathe your piercing and mouth out when you devour. you should use listerine, an alcohol loose mouthwash, or perchance a sturdy sea salt answer yet you want to locate something. maximum folk cut back again on mouth rinsing round 2 weeks because their piercing must be in somewhat sturdy structure. If yours remains sore like its new in spite of the indisputable fact that (which it could be because it hasnt been squeaky clean) you want to start up cleansing it the way your piercer recommended you. I have used a type of mouthwash said as Biotene contained in the previous and it changed into astounding. Its an enzyme depending mouthwash so it were given rid of the germs without alchol drying out my piercing the way listerine would. Listerine will clean out germs in spite of the indisputable fact that it has a bent to be too a lot for peoples mouths in the experience that they use it various circumstances an afternoon. in case you employ listerine, Water it down somewhat. least complicated of all although in the experience that your piercer turned right into a professional you could continually supply him a decision and ask what he thinks you need to be employing. Piercers have very good evaluations on aftercare because of their experience.

let is set in your mouth for just a bit, but rinsing it out with one swish of water is fine, listerine kills bacteria that's in you mouth, and water doesnt have anything in it that will cause cavities as a matter of fact water is sooooooo good for you teeth because it has flouride in it which helps make your teeth stronger
