I just got back from my dentist, I need two root canals and two crowns. I have dental insurance but its still going to cost me $1850.00. 2 teeth that much? I know I am lucky to have insurance but still with insurance its too high. This is a good reason American Middle Class never get ahead, we can't afford the heath and dental care.

I got a cut on the bottom of my tongue from my braces (although I don't have bottom braces yet -- not sure how I managed to do that with my top braces) and It's really painful. It also developed a bump on top of it. Is it dangerous and how do I get rid of it?

I have a semi-thick black line/substance at the base of one of my molars on the right side of my mouth. I tried to scrap it off but it didn't really do anything. The black is where the tooth meets the gum and is only on the outside part of my tooth. I was scrapping and brushing it frequently yesterday and today there is a white skewed line below the black line (which may be caused by cutting the gum while trying to remove the black line). I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas what this could be.

My gums seem to bleed spontaneously, just start bleeding when i'm not doing anything, eating can make them bleed to, it started last night just eating soft bread. It doesn't last long and isn't painful. This also happens while I am sleeping.
I brush regularly and use mouthwash but this doesn't seem to help, brushing also makes them bleed so I brush fairly carefully...

I'm looking for a great dentist with the qualifications of patience and understanding. Not that my teeth are that bad...but I need work done. Preferably I would like the dentist to be located in Manhattan.

Thanks. People.

Ok, know I sound like a right woos but I just went to dentist to have tooth out. She numbed the area and told me to raise my hand if I felt any pain...how does excruciating sound? Raised my hand , she carried on, I made strange noises of protest, she carried on...I made an ear piercing screaming noise to which she enquired "are you feeling any pain there?" Turns out the area wasn't totally numb so yeah you could say it smarted a bit!! Why did she carry on until i screamed??

I've had a lot problems with teet lately. I recently went to dentist nd was told I have to get 3 Route Canals, each one costing over $1300. I am a sudent and dont have any real money to pay these now but need them fixed because I already have an infection in my jawbone from one of these teeth and will lose them sooner or later if I dont get them fixed, I dont have dental insurance either! What should I do?

Yesterday I had a pain at the back of my mouth, and I kept playing with it with my tongue, Last night I could taste something nasty, now it does't hurt as much but still very tender. I haven't had to have my wisdom teeth out yet, should I go to the dentist, I've made an appointment for Friday, should I keep it?

A lot of you have said that a good way to ease the pain and avoid infection is to gargle with Hydrogen peroxide. But how? do I dilute it with water or just on its own? Thank you
