maybe leaving decayed/rotting teeth in your mouth is what they are talking about. The bacteria can travel into your bloodstream and go to various organs and cause damage. That's why regular maintenance appointments with your dental office in addition to daily flossing is important. The gum infection will travel and cause inflammation in the body. Not good things.

There's a correlation but it isn't necessarily causal. Loss of teeth suggests inability to access dental care which in turn indicates poverty and a lack of resources to other health services that may help keep you healthy.
Alternatively, loss of teeth (and the inability to get dentures) suggests that you won't be able to chew effectively, meaning your food gets swallowed in large chunks which isn't good for digestion and you don't get the full benefit of nutrients from food, which could concievably shorten your lifespan by undermining your general health.
These are just guesses.

Statistical analysis of nursing home charts after death shows a correlation between teeth present and age at death in a trend that seems to indicate having some natural teeth is associated with a longer life.
You can eat better! Or, people who take better care of their teeth and accept dental treatment recommendations might be the same people who take better care or their bodies and follow their medical treatment recommendations.

Thats b'cos loss of teeth is normally due to infections which were not treated. The bacteria from tooth decay could travel to your heart and damage it.And this results in reduced longevity. For the same reason, people with most heart diseases are given antibiotic prophylaxis before undergoing dental treatment. So,tooth loss is just an indicator of how long you will live.It is not definite.

Tooth loss is caused by gum disease, which allows oral bacteria to enter the bloodstream from the infected gums. These bacteria can travel to the heart and other organs and cause problems.

oh that's an easy one. teeth are a metaphor for the rest of your body and are a direct reflection of how well you take care of yourself. if you are the type of person who loses their teeth then you are also probably overweight, don't eat properly, don't exercise, and blame everything on genetics.
note that the lowest lifespan in the country is in the south. also, the incidence of tooth loss is the highest in the south. overall, rednecks just don't take care of themselves.
