Gingivitus is why and brushing, flossing and regular visits to the
dentist is the answer. A temporary fix would be rinse and gargle
the teeth with salt water solution 3 to 4 times a day 'til you see the dentist.

Gums receed because of tartar and decay below the gum line on the teeth. Go get examined by a dentist and get a "deep cleaning" or a "Periodontal cleaning" if you need it. Then brush twice a day with an electric toothbrush like Oral-B (not a cheap one) and use Listerine twice a day.

Stop talking so much...just kidding.....I think they recede but I don't think they reseed. Gum disease and loosing a lot of teeth might make that happen but a dentist better tell you than me......

My gums receded but not due to gingivitis. My dentist pointed it out to me when I was around ten and I had to have a gum graft done. It was where they took gum from the roof of my mouth and placed it over the area where my gums were receding. To be honest it was probably the worst dental experience I have had and I have had a lot of them from root canal to 12 teeth pulled. So good luck. :D

If I knew how to make gums reseed, I'd be a billionaire.

The reason gums receed is because you may have a small case of gum disease. You could start using listerine twice a day and that may help so they dont get worse. Floss and brush regularly

I agree that it may be bacterial build up but disagree with it being gingivitus unless your gums are inflammed and sore but i think a trip to the dentest for a cleaning would be a good idea and you could ask him. I know bushing the proper way and flossing [expecially the flossing] will toughen your gums.

They recede from bacterial buildup below the gum line. Get regular cleanings and brush and floss is pretty much all you need to do.

gums recede because of:
1. improper tooth brushing technique
2. calcular deposits resulting to gum problems
3. habits such as smoking and tongue piercings
4. age (the older people tend to have gum recession)

Gingivitis, you need to see a dentist immediately. Unless you want all of your teeth to fall out and have bad breath. They have an oral solution for you to brush with after EVERY meal. It works.
