Most colleges have a dental program where dental students perform the work and supervisors check the work when they are finished. The work is usually very professional and since several people check the work, you probably get a better result in the long run. They will set you up with a payment plan based on what you earn and what you can afford to pay. But, it takes some time to get the appointment and you'll have to go several times, so don't delay. Call today and make the appointment for the consultation so they can do the work before you get really sick from the infection. Tell them it is an emergency and they will get you in more quickly. Hope this helps.

Dental work can be expensive. I like my dental plan because it always save me money every time I use it. It's not insurance but a dental discount plan. No limits on visits or services, no age limit, no waiting period, specialists included! This plan does have their own providers but a very broad selection. Save anywhere from 50% to 80 on most utilized dental procedures such as exams, x-rays, teeth cleanings, fillings, root canal, and even crowns! Members can also save 25% to 50% on Braces! The plan is only $11.95 a month for an individual or $19.95 a month for household. You also get 3 additional benefits free with the plan vision, RX, & chiropractic!

Get more information at:

http://www.wehavebenefits.com

At this same website you will be able to find out what dental providers are in your area that accepts this plan, just click on the tab at the top of the page that says Find a Provider.

Let me know if you can't locate the website or have some questions!

Don't wait as you will have more problems down the line. Is your dentist associated with any of the universities? Many dentists are and can get you in to a cheaper clinic with student dentists. I know one woman who had this done and she was quite happy.
If this isn't possible work out a payment plan with the dentist. Most are happy to do this and really want to help with your problem. If you stand to lose teeth and probably have some bone loss from the infection you need to get this done.

Oh just a little more info. If the tooth loss etc. doesn't move you remember that oral infections can give you problems with your heart over the long haul.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Dentists are outrageously expensive and so is dental insurance. Have you checked into discount dental plans. They are a lot cheaper than insurance and I think they pay even more for most procedures. I signed up for one of them last year and it has saved me a ton of money. I don't know where you live but if you are in the U.S. you should check http://dental-ppo.com and search by your zip code to find plans and dentists in your area. It's probably worth at least checking out because, like others have said, you really need to get that dental work done before it causes your bigger problems. I hope everything works out well for you.

See if there are any dental schools in the area or a dental clinic that charges you based on what your income is. If anything, call the dental office you went to and explain your situation. A good dental office will try to help you out by either pointing you in the right direction on where you can get this work done at a lower price or they can help you with payment options. Good luck

In the town I live in (which is in Texas) we have a place where you can go once a week to get dental care that is for poor people.
I'm sure nearly every town has one. You may have to go to the welfare office and ask if there is free dental care for low income people in your town. A local dentist will come in once a week and do this.

You should try going to a dental school and see if they can do any of the work, ask what their financial options are and see if they are willing to work with you. If they will and you choose to get the work done I would do the worse tooth first then get the others done as you can.
