I have wisdom teeth growing in on the tops and bottoms of each side of my mouth and recently i've noticed that one of my lower ones tastes and smells horrible!!! I can't describle the smell...its disgusting...like something old and rotten. The i just went to the dentist about a week ago and everything was fine with my teeth but i am so scared as to what is going on..has anyone had this problem before? I think it might be a bacterial infection. The dentist said my teeth arent ready to be removed yet but i don't care i want to get rid of this it is horrible

I'm having the same problem (well, not exactly). I think I have a wisdom tooth growing, but according to some people on Yahoo Answers, it might be excess Calcium. Once you get it removed, it's going to smell a lot worse, there will be rancid fluid oozing out of the wound, and there would be alot of bleeding, up to 24hours. You'd be required to put a gauze on it and clamp it. Just thought I'd tell you. Anyway, yeah try mouthwash, or saltwater. Pray to God :( Good luck

Maybe you've gotten some food caught under it somehow and it is rotting and causing the smell. If there was decay, the dentist should have noticed it. If he didn't x-ray your teeth, you need to have him do that to find out what's going on.

Your wisdom teeth can be removed any time usually before there is a problem. Make another appt. with Mr. dentist
