I have always used a toothache remedy that you can find at any drugstore. It is called toothache relief but it is actually made from clove oil. It takes the pain completely away in around 2-6 minutes.
Good luck!!

Ice pack is one of the best! I tried the ice pack around my cheek, ear, jaw, neck , it temporarily reduced the pain right away. But I had to keep doing it for a while until Ibuprofin & antibiotics worked. It did help me to get into sleep easily at night. I also used Clove Oil (can be found at any Indian Supermarkets). But since my pain lasts too long, I used too much clove oil and the skin under teeth almost broke out. So if you use Clove oil, be careful not to abuse it. When it hurts so much, I even placed an ice cube (put inside a snack zipped bag) right INSIDE under the tooth, . It helps taking away the pain at least for a few minutes. Never had this much toothache before in my life! I'm with you.

1.take teabag boil for 1 minute and place on tooth... making sure it isn't too hot. 2. Take an icepack and place it on the outside of your
mouth where the tooth hurts. 3. slice a onion peel and put it on your gums and tooth. 4. use vanilla extract on the tooth or even liquor. 5. Clean a cavity out with a toothpick then pack it with some cotton soaked in clove oil. I hope any of these helps.

You can try pulling your own tooth, which isn't advised. A surgical extraction costs a fraction of a root canal treatment. You really should go to the dentist. Your tooth will only get worse. The only OTC pain killers for tooth aches are ibuprofen/Tylenol.

If you've been given antibiotics you have an infection of some sort gum or tooth either way you need treatment
if you cannot afford treatment there are free dental clinics in many cities or if you live near a dental school the students need patients to work on and the schools have sliding fee schedules or even free treatment

In addition to using the pain medication of your choice, sleep on an extra pillow to elevate your head. Sleep on the side that does NOT have a toothache. If that doesn't work, you can move to a recliner or the sofa so you can keep your head really elevated. This will minimize the blood flow to the area and therefore minimize the throbbing and pain. This might help you make it through the night until you can see a dentist.

take a sip of vodka or some kinda alcholic drink and shake it in your mouth before you spit out..
And it might sound wierd but, if the tootache is dramatic, and you cant wait untill the painkillers start doing their job, go to shower, get hot water, ( keep your head away from hot water ) and masturbate...
I know it sounds wierd but according to researchs about aches, thinking about sex is the best way to kill the pain...

A clove of garlic placed between the gum and the infection will suck the infection out. You can also do that with the tylenol...put it in between and let it dissolve. It won't taste great, but it works. They both do.
