I was told by my family doctor that I was slightly underweight and that it won't be harmful to gain 5-15 pounds. I know I have to eat 3 full meals a day, and snacks in between; however, I was also advised that working out would help my weight gain diet. I thought that working out causes you to burn calories..? Is there a certain method to weight gain? Do I eat before I work out and then again after?? What are the best foods to eat? (Mature responses only).

Okay...when I was little I had a whole in my ear drum, so I didn't get ear aches. I'd get infections, just not the ear aches that went along with it. Well, the hole's grown closed now. This is my FIRST ear ache ever. I don't know what to do. I can't go to the doctor until tomorrow, but the pain is so bad, it's making my throat hurt.

So...do any of you know anything I could do to make the pain go away? God, it hurts so bad...it's like...someone's hammering a nail in my head via ear drum.

My ENT has warned me never ever ever to use qtips in my ears. But whenever i get a sinus infection, my ear plugs up for months. Does anybody know of any at home remedies to clean them out?

i want to lose weight but im having trouble. i am a very picky eater and dont like vegetables except corn and potatoes, i hate cheese, and the only kind of meat i like is pork and chicken but i like everything else. im 16 so i have no money to go to the gym and i also cant go out to excerise. any tips?

I am 30 and have had this since I was a teenager. I didn't even make the connection until about 3 years ago. I have really red skin and the broken capillaries. I use bare essentuals mineral make up. It is so frustrating because my skin never looks nice and I know I would be so much prettier if I didn't have this! I really can't afford the big laser treatments.

My sister had bronchitis/bordering on pneumonia for close to three weeks during which she coughed a lot. She had back pain when she was sick, but is still experiencing lower back pain even though she's better. Do you think that the back pain is a side effect from the illness or from coughing?

the condom broke on thursday at 12:30 am and I used the morning-after-pill also known as Plan B today at 7:00pm. I know you can not exceed 72hr. in order for it to work. I heard better results is the same day or day after.
I used it 2 days later. WIll mine work?

Also, can I eat after taking pill? thanks

My mother is working two jobs, one of which she continues to work at because of the medical insurance. My mother is ready to slow her life down and give up her job that is providing med insurance. My mother is diabetic, and it is improbable she can be accepted for regular insurance with her condition. Been on this drug 60-80 mg for 2 months for a back injury which required surgery, hospital sent me home with 4 tablets 10 mg each, and codeine, but my body is not doing so well , I feel like I have the flu, and my husband is concerned as he says I am jerking and thrashing in my sleep should I be concerned or is it just the drugs trying to leave my body, I feel like I have worms crawling under my skin , help what can I do to make this easy on myself.

For about the last week i have randomly been feeling dizzy or lightheaded. I'll be just sitting there, and for no apparent reason feel dizzy. I have been getting what seem to be hot flashes too, like i will be extremely hot and everyone else in the room is fine or cold. I also always feel sick after i eat. For the past 2 days i have felt very mildly feverish and nausious. I have also been more tired then usual. I've looked some things up, but nothing matches these specific symtoms. I know it isn't a stomach flu, b/c i haven't thrown up at all.

Hi can anyone help me, an elder relative of mine fell off her mobility scooter about 3 weeks ago. This resulted in her landing on the curb, and then the mobility scooter falling onto her leaving her in much pain and discomfort. She had a hip replacement around 6 years ago but at the time of surgery the surgeons noted that she had a crack in her hip, as she had fallen some years previous resulting in a hairline crack.

Over the last 3 weeks, there has been symptoms developing increasingly, and she has noted that she has pubic bone pressure, unable to walk without a stick, has trouble walking steady and is walking lopsided, as though trying to avoid pressure on the hip joint in question.

We have been trying to get her to go to the hospital recently, but she seems to have convinced herself that it isn't anything serious and so I was wondering if anyone would be able to shine any light on any possible damage that has resulted as a consequence of the fall.

I am having a total abdominal hysterectomy on Monday. My Dr's are aware of my use of hydrocodone due to pain management. I just wonder if it will affect my recovery when I have a high tolerance already...Any help is appreciated!

Okay.

I am thirteen years old.
I weigh 112-113 pounds.

I am always hungry...not ALWAYS..but most of the time.
When I eat...people are like....YOU EAT SO MUCH..and your so small.

I dont feel small.
The other day..i weighed 115 pounds.
And at the end of the day...I was 113.

Uhh..do I eat too much?

How can I stop?
