the condom broke on thursday at 12:30 am and I used the morning-after-pill also known as Plan B today at 7:00pm. I know you can not exceed 72hr. in order for it to work. I heard better results is the same day or day after.
I used it 2 days later. WIll mine work?
Also, can I eat after taking pill? thanks

It's true though, it is recommend a women take Plan B within 72 hours of having sex.
I've taken Plan B twice when I forgot to take my regular birth control pill. The first time I took Plan B it was within 24 hours. The second time was almost 3 days after I had sex. Both times worked for me. I don't have any kids yet :o)
According to Planned Parenthood, "Combination EC reduces the risk of pregnancy by 75 percent if started within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. Only two out of 100 will become pregnant after taking combination EC."

The reason they tell you to take the plan B pill right away is that it will stop you from becoming pregnant if you aren't already, but it won't do anything if your already pregnant. After 2 days, there is a chance you are pregnant already. Hopefully you are expecting a period soon, so you'll be able to gauge it that way. Best of luck, and if you have any concerns after a week or two, it would be best to see your doctor.

The chances of it working are considerably lowered although I don't think that they are 0. I'd say it's not a good chance so regularly monitor your period and your body for the next week or two. Yes you can eat but just to be on the safe side wait half an hour.
