I nurse in a hospital and like my job, but sometimes I can tell from the time I get to work, its going to be a terrible day. We have patients who come in and think we are room service and get ridiculous. The families treat the nursing staff like crap sometimes and order us around like servants. One lady accused me of sitting around. I was charting, something we spend probably a couple hourse doing every day.
Then we get the cute little old lady who is so sweet you just want to take her home and call her grandma. No family, no husband and no one to look after her. She outlived everyone in her family. She is not complaining.
What makes people so crazy?

Ok I was due on my period yesterday now on Sunday through till today I have had mild cramps, sore breasts and brown discharge not lots but on and off with no sign of blood. Does anyone have any idea what this could be or has anyone experienced this before it is driving me insane and I keep getting on and off headaches.

My father has gout but is allergic to prescribed drugs(i.e Allipurinol). His feet are in constant pain but the regular anti-inflams do little to ease it.He is not over wieght or a heavy drinker and knows what NOT to eat.We here cherries are good for this condition.... Anyone know any other mirical cures???? (please no extracts from web pages explainin gout cos we know the lot!)

i am so inexperienced.... i don't know how to tell if my fiance is circumcised or not. because he is from another culture, its not appropriate for me to ask him about it. what does it look like if he is and what does it look like if he isn't? i hope this isn't an inapporopriate question. thanks!

since i was 13 i had my period regular but at 15it just stoped and 6months later i had it for a day and than when i was 16 i had it twiceim now 17 i woke up covered i mean covered in blood i tookcare of it cleaned it up less than an hour later i was covered again and i had on a tampon and a pad i really dont want to go to the docter again because they just keep giving me ultrasounds and telling me im fine but this cant be normal expecially after i had it regular for 2 years?

Once I am up, I am up and I cannot go back to bed, so here it is 4 AM and I am up. I nurse in a hospital and so I will be running my rear off until at least 8 pm tonite.
We joke and call our job room service at the Holiday Inn.
Will I notice 1 hour less sleep or not?

Please help every so often i get these mild cramping pains in my right hip. I’m not sure whether it’s my appendix because it isn't very painful I just clench my fist for a moment then it goes away. This only occurs very rarely and there is no set pattern to the pain which leads me to believe that it has something to do with my diet or amount of exercise I do each day. I am slightly worried that it is my appendix. My mum has had her appendix out ...does that necessarily mean I will too?

I believe someone I care about is an acoholic. I also know he is addicted to cannabis. Some of you may believe that cannabis is not addictive, but he has smoked it every day for over 10 years and now he can't function without it. I think he is an alcoholic because he can't go 24 hours without a drink. He will drink in the morning on the weekend, drinks every evening, and will drink at lunchtime if he can. He drinks cider or beer.

I have tried to to talk to him about it but he refuses to admit he has a problem. When I try to be kind he just changes the subject, laughs or gets angry. If I get cross about it he walks out. He won't see his doctor and I don't know what else to do. He is horrible when he is drunk and just as bad when he is stoned.

How can I help him to see he needs help?

ive gained about 16 lbs back, and since then my cycles have completely stopped again. i have symptoms of periods, but nohting happens. i havent had a period since january, which in that month i had 2. the last one was light. i cant believe i was doing so well, my cycles were ever 23 days, i just felt "normal"...argh...what can i do to drop the pounds and get back to on the right track...i am 18 yrs old :)

I have been seeing a therapist for post traumatic stress disorder for 2months.I have seen this man afew years back.I trust this person with my deepest feelings and secrets.I am a woman and we are about the same age.lately he has been moving his chair closer to me at times to have close eye contact ( I think) he also on several occasions holds my hands in an affectionate way and doesn't let go for a long time while looking at me.For some reason( i don't know) I do not find this uncomfortable, as I like it and he tells me I'm a good person and he likes me a lot.(probably to boost my self esteem)Is he crossing a line here or is he just being careing and has genuine intentions to help me.My main problem is relationship difficulties and I think i am just a little vunerable now.But like I said I don;t feel uncomfortable when he does this.

OK, so i've occassionally popped vicodin pills. I didn't do addictively, or so i don't think. At first it started off with one then anotehr week i would pop two.. maybe the next day pop 2 then stop maybe for a week or two, more like a week. then i been starting to take 3. and recently i took 3 and then 2 hours later i took 2 more.. and i was sick to my stomach.. i threw up and i was sick till the morning.. i threw up again in the morning and i was throwing up this dark green bile, and i did this about two times and slept the day away.. this was on monday.. now i don't know if its from the vicodin or just simulatenous with everything else going on in my life happen to explore this week, i feel sooo down, depressed. and one hell of mood swings.. will it go away, or did i scar myself with this pill abuse.. i feel like i've gone bi- polar or something. i obiously had some depression prior to this thats why i began popping vicoding these past couple days it's been intense. HELP PLEASE.

i have been working out for a bit over a month now i have gotten stromger i win arm wrestles a lot easier know but still i beat people in arm wrestles but there arms look stronger than mine how long will it take to get my arms more visible like how long the will look from a little visible to visible
