My 16 yrs old daughter is suffering from hyperthyroidism and became jaundice aside from usual symptoms of hyperthyroid. First shot of Radio Active Iodine did not stops over release of thyroid hormone and she became more jaundice a monthh after that she was treated a higher dose of Radio Active Iodine and still under observation till this time. Whats unusual is her being jaundice even she is negative for hepa A and B, and other liver laboratory exams. Doctors claimed that it could be a side effect of Hyperthyroidism...."could be" is hard for us parents of a 16 yrs old girl who should be enjoying her youth but now just stayed at home because whenever shes out, people staring and staying away from her thinking she have a communicable disease or hepatitis. Experts or anyone who had the same case please help me or explain to me her case for our peace of mind....My greatest fear is that my mother died of liver cancer!......

Ok, I am 5 ft 2 inches and 14 years of age, closing in on 15. I am literally the smallest boy in my class, where most boys in my class are about 5'6"-9", which is a big height diffference compared to me. I haven't hit all the solid signs of puberty yet, but my mum is pretty short at the same height as me, and my dad is fairly tall at 6'2". Am i too short? Will i grow? and if i do, will it be tall like my dad, short like my mum or just average?

Thanks for any replies in advance

the wisdom tooth was growing sideways and pushing against the other teeth, so i had the tooth in front of the wisdom tooth extracted, so it would have more room to grow, would it cause me any problems later on as i grow older (im 18)? the tooth has fully grown now and its penetrated through the gum so when you look into my mouth the crown is visible. I just wanted to know if i had done the right thing.

What is the easiest and fastest way to lose fat and gain muscle (primarily in the abdominal region) (preferably without any equipment) I would mostly prefer activities that can be done alone in the morning.

I'm thinking about it. Basically you get a big bag of birdseed, have a bowl for breakfast, bowl for lunch and a sensible dinner. You can make "granola bars" out of it for snacks. You can put soy milk on it but not real milk because birds don't drink milk. For exercise you have this routine of flapping your arms like wings and saying "tweet tweet." Basically I'm wondering if anyone has had any success with this.

would there be less obese people? The reason I ask is because my family and I decided a few weeks ago to buy our meat from the butchers and our veg from a farm shop. Not only are we eating better quality, healthier food and losing weight... it costs less too!!! If the unhealthy foods are not in the shops you go to.. you won't buy them!!

I'm thin, but very much out of shape, I get tried easily, feel weak. I been eating nothing but junk food, fast food for years. I'm trying to wean myself off of it but it's hard since no one at home cooks, we only eat out but I've been going to Subway and ordering subs lately and only eating grilled and baked food instead of fried. I'm eating more vegetables. I don't drink water much. I don't take vitamins much. I would like to get in shape and not get so tried and winded whenever I dance or do an activities. I feel so weak and my bones hurt sometime. Any advice on what food to get healthy and how long will it take for me to get healthy since I abused my body with junk food for so long?

I have seen them advertised on an American website - and apparently you put these stips on different areas of your body then go to sleep or leave them on for a few hours and they remove inches from your figure... Are they having us on or are these popular in the USA?

My periods have always been irregular, for the most part they never stop. The last two months I have not had one at all. About 2 weeks after my husband and I had sex I passed an extemely large clot. Since then no period. This has now been 2 months. Every test is negative and I feel extremely uncomfortable too much of the time. The weirdest thing is the small flutter in my stomach, I obviously would not be feeling that yet.
