would there be less obese people? The reason I ask is because my family and I decided a few weeks ago to buy our meat from the butchers and our veg from a farm shop. Not only are we eating better quality, healthier food and losing weight... it costs less too!!! If the unhealthy foods are not in the shops you go to.. you won't buy them!!

Farmers markets are great for cheap fresh produce. Once home I encourage the kids to prepare the food with me-but i must admit I am a bit obsessive they way things go. The kids now realise that when they walk through the door, a ready meal will not be on the table at the ping of a button and 30 seconds later. We all sit down together at the diner table, though occasionally I will let them watch telly. Supermarkets provide a quick solution to lots of expensive rubbish, which half of it gets thrown out any way. They are full of additives, flavours, E's and are mass produced . That's were obesity comes from. Everyone seems to be in a rush today and don't find quality time to cook from fresh.

I don't know if there would be less obese people, but I agree that it costs less and you buy healthier stuff.

When I was a child in the late 70s and 80s my father and I did the shopping in our local town and we would go to all the separate shops with the housekeeping money and always managed to get a lot for our money.

It is more convenient and faster to go to a supermarket now, though. Many of the shops that sell the separate types of goods have disappeared as well.

My theory on obesity is also that people are eating ready-made things now. They do not know how to cook from scratch and so are eating poorly prepared items or going to more fast food places. I am making an effort to cook from scratch. It takes a lot longer but is really satisfying.

probable sure. till you have an employment settlement that tells you precisely why and the thank you to be fired then you are an at will worker. At will workers can legally be fired for any non-discriminatory, non-retaliatory reason. even if in case you do have a settlement, not following a directive is possibly a fireable offense. the only different exception has already been reported - while you're element of a union, you are able to touch your rep. There are some different exceptions, like civil provider protections yet those do unlikely observe to you because you artwork at a food market. even if in case you are able to or possibly would be fired is a diverse questions, yet my guess may well be that legally sure you will possibly nicely be fired. interest descriptions are legally irrelevant.

its true. i grew up in country where we didnt have any suprmarkets (only in past 10 years things changed and we finally got them) and we dont have obesety problem, in fact - people who have 10-20lbs on bones are called fat- it sucks, i know.
but if you dont have supermarket - you just get the foods you need to cook and some snacks once in a while. you dont have to be teased by junk food staring at you and candy put by the registers and pretty cakes etc.
besides - we never were buying veggies - we grew them in garden.
