Firstly, do you want to lose weight, or do you want to lose fat and gain the benefits of a healthier body, reduce the risk of diabetes, and improve your self esteem?

Whilst I appreciate that you have back pain and may be restricted with reference to exercises that you can do, I believe that there are exercises that can be done despite your condition. You just need to establish what they are.

Exercise produces, or enlarges, muscles. Muscles add weight to the body as does fat. Actually, a fat person can become visibly thinner whilst putting on weight as muscle replaces fat.

However, this does not mean that you need to become a real body builder with a body like Rambo.

You may wish to join a gym or just exercise at home. A professional trainer at a gym may be able to determine what exercises you can do.

If you intend to exercise at home, I would suggest that you obtain a set of dumbells as these can be beneficial to do other exercises that will give your body very good tone.

A set of dumbells from 1 kilogram to five kilograms [eleven pounds] may be all that you need. Above this and you get into body building. Wrist exercises are also good. I use them occasionally when watching TV.

I am nearly 65 years old and look forward to my regular exercises, including brisk walks. I have been told that I look much younger than my chronological age and much younger than many men far younger than I am.

You need to eat sensibly as well, especially if you are limited with the exercises that you can do. Do not diet but eat low GI foods; foods that are low in fat, especially saturated fats; and drink plenty of water. Have a glass of water before each meal and between meals, especially if you start to feel hungry. Avoid eating cakes, pastries, pizzas, hamburgers, fries and hot dogs and avoid drinking soft drinks as they are usually very high in processed carbohydrates, as are alcoholic beverages.

It is also good to have a light snack between meals to maintain energy levels. This may be a piece of fruit, a few nuts, or a small serve of yoghurt.

Protein is needed to produce muscle, along with exercise. This can be obtained from eating fish, lean meat and certain nuts.

I believe in the 90%/10% rule where you can binge about one night a week, if you wish. By this I mean have a piece of cake, a cookie, or chocolate bar, or a meal such as a schnitzel or pizza that can stack on the weight.

I respect the fact that you have made a choice to better yourself and not become a "victim" of your circumstances. Choices and attitude can make or break us. If you get the chance to do so, watch the DVD and/or read the book entitled, "The Secret". This may provide some moral support for you.

Remember, "Winners never quit and quitters never win". So be disciplined.

Good luck with your venture.

Your proverbial middle? Or, your bodily middle? The reply, of direction is dependent now not on which middle you imply, however which brain you imply? Referring to the word, "he is misplaced his brain" we will be able to accumulate that in the event you did lose your proverbial middle, you would handiest lose your 'brain' as in, your sanity, relying on what offerings you selected thereafter. With the brain as within the 'ego' the notion approaches that often manage us, in the event you misplaced your proverbial middle , you could most definitely lose your brain because it was once considering the fact that then you would not position as a common human anymore. You'd grow to be robot, missing empathy, compassion and different human developments that have an impact on the brain and make you human. You could grow to be a laptop, and their minds are whatever thoroughly one-of-a-kind. The query could grow to be, what could be the riding drive of your new state of brain? What could have an impact on your selections? If you supposed wasting your exact, bodily middle... good, then I could say sure and no to wasting your brain, any brain. Yes, considering the fact that you could be useless. Your frame as you knew it could not be performing on any stage, and consequently be with out brain. No, considering the fact that it's mentioned the 'brain' not ever dies, however overlaps from reincarnation to reincarnation, and is the reason why we convey a few conduct and recollections via, most of the time being perceived as genetics, dream states or deja vu. Although it's truthfully your spirit or soul that's doing the reincarnating, the soul comes from the only soul that inhabits the whole thing, and so your 'brain' that learns extra with each and every reincarnation is truthfully your very individualism. Without it, you're now not you.
