Ok, I am 5 ft 2 inches and 14 years of age, closing in on 15. I am literally the smallest boy in my class, where most boys in my class are about 5'6"-9", which is a big height diffference compared to me. I haven't hit all the solid signs of puberty yet, but my mum is pretty short at the same height as me, and my dad is fairly tall at 6'2". Am i too short? Will i grow? and if i do, will it be tall like my dad, short like my mum or just average?

Thanks for any replies in advance

hey! who told you 5'2" height is not enough for you? Are you going to be an electrician who repairs over head electrical lines with out a ladder? or want to pick coconuts from coconut trees not climbing the tree? Do you know some other people who succeeded in life other than electricians and tree climbers like Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchil, Adolf Hitler, Rajive Gandhi etc? All These poor guys had average heights of less than 6". It matters what's inside, not the size or height. Height, color and other physical matters are just ancestral and cant modify. But there is yet another thing you can modify! Your inner you! Your personality! Be a good human being and contribute some thing to the mankind. Then you will be the tallest of all.

Checked on the Maternal Health Care Growth Chart and your within the normal range for your age group, even if you are at the lower end of that range.
Given that you are 14 (nearly 15) and not solidly in puberty, my guess is that you still have quite a few years of growing left. Also growth is sometimes in spurts, and most males only obtain their adult height at around 18 - 20 years. Its important to remember even if you don't get as tall as Dad, that your height is perfectly natural, normal and that there is nothing wrong. One thing you will end up taller than Mum.

When my husband graduated from High School he was the second shortest person in his class.

By the time he was 21 he had grown to 5 foot 8 inches.

You probably will not reach your dad's height but you will most likely be a bit taller than your mum.

Young men can grow until their early 20's so don't stress to much over your height...

i think it truly is somewhat short. yet i'm 13 and purely 4'11.5" and that i've got acquaintances who're 13 and 5'8"! length varies, and that i comprehend like 2 or 3 14-year olds who're the comparable top as you. then you definately see Shawn Johnson (Olympic gymnast), who's sixteen and four'10"!!! So yeah, that's short, yet a superb form of human beings are in simple terms as short or perhaps shorter, so do no longer hassle!! xox <3 Emily oh, and by the point i'm totally grown i'm purely meant to be 5'2" or shorter. it is not undesirable by fact i'm a gymnast. with any luck which will convenience you somewhat.

No, you're okay. There is a HUGE variation of age of onset of puberty. It isn't fun to be one that hits later, but it sounds like you are. If you are worried, you could see your doctor and make sure your testoterone and human growth hormone levels are within normal limits. It is a simple blood test, but from what you are saying, you will probably hit puberty later and then shoot up fast. My nephews grew until their 20's when all their friends had stopped. We are all different. Its a pain, but probably perfectly fine. Sounds like you can expect to be around 6 ft.

You mightn't get your growth spurt til 18. at 14, you do not need to worry about height. You are still growing with hormones raging inside of you.

Boys stop growing at 21 so you still have more to grow.
wait and see.

Height is controlled by heredity, no sense in worrying in stuff you have NO control over.
