i want to lose weight but im having trouble. i am a very picky eater and dont like vegetables except corn and potatoes, i hate cheese, and the only kind of meat i like is pork and chicken but i like everything else. im 16 so i have no money to go to the gym and i also cant go out to excerise. any tips?

You are 16. If you are in school you shouldn't have to go to the gym. Join a team at school or get with some friends and play pick up basketball. There should be plenty of free of charge ways for a kid to exercise.

Corn and potatoes are high in starches which are the easiest foods for your body to store for energy reserves, so unfortunately, you'll have to cut back some on them. Try a variety of green and white vegetables, a few at a time, to see which ones you can tolerate. Eat them for fiber and vitamins. Exercise can be done a variety of ways, such as clasping your hands and pulling against each other, walking up and down stairs several times, calisthenics, or anything which will raise your metabolic rate slightly. Cut down on your portions a little and don't take seconds or desserts often. Doing it all together, you may lose 2-5 lbs. and then plateau for a week or so. Don't get discouraged, as this means your body is adjusting. Increase you exercise a little, but keep your food intake about the same. Your metabolic rate should increase a little more and you will start redistributing your weight as muscle instead of fat. That's excellent. As for how much you eat, probably about 1700 calories will allow you to lose without going hungry. Good luck. And if you're looking for a sensible diet, try a diabetic diet because it's well-balanced and avoids the foods you most want to cut out.

You can't exercise, why?
There is no easy way to lose weight, and the only real way to lose weight requires exercise even if you decide to take pills.
Take a job once in a while, take the stairs, hang out at the park, just do active things every 4 or 5 days.
This'll not only help you lose weight but to stay healthy and do wonders for lots of other things too.
Smoking makes you lose weight but I definetly don't recommend it.

Do you like to dance? Put on some good music and lock your door and dance in your bedroom =) I did this along with treadmill, or u could jog in place....
As far as food...try to reduce your portion sizes...what u would normally eat, cut in half. If you like fruits, eat those instead of snacking on more fattening things.
If you can do this i guarantee you will lose weight...diet AND excersice is the key! Don't forget to reward yourself too! Make goals, and when you reach one, have one of your favorite snacks!
I lost 30 pounds doing this..keep with it, and it will work!

well i am also trying to lose weight as well. I just lost 11 pounds in two weeks. The thing is that you have to exercise to lose but since you cant go to a gym then youshould try to exercise in the home. You should try TAEBO...it works!!! Trust me...it works. The great thing about TAEBO is that you will lose and tone at the same time. The tapes are $10.63 at Wal-Mart.
You must drink water. This is a must. There is no way getting around it. You have to drink water at least 6 glasses a day. They say 8 glasses but i know that ppl get tired of water really fast so the best thing to do is to get you a sports jug that you can fill up and carry around with you..if you do this then you will constantly drnk form that bottle never thinking twice of how much water you just drank. Then you will discover its empty and refill it and then start again. Therefore you will get enough water intake. Its funny that drinking water helps you lose your water weight really fast because it keeps you going to the restroom.
Also, you can try green tea. This helps as well. Green tea is a source of water as well. If you drink a couple cups a day then you wll be getting your water intake as well..and the green tea also helps get the water weight off becasue it assists with you goin to the restroom as well. Green tea also comes in a pill. They are also sold in Wal-Mart for like $3-4.
Important Tips:
Watch your portions. Dont count calories. Get smaller amounts of food. Dont fry anything...ever!!! Dont starve yourself. Try Crystal Light...its actually really good. This also helps with yoru water intake..especially for the times that you are sick of drinking water. Stay away from sugar!! Its ok to have a cheat day. My cheat day is Friday..every Friday. On fridays i dont eat my usual diet food. I may eat something fried or i may eat ice cream..i dont over indulge by overeating but i do treat myself. I have found this to help...and my friends have as well.
You MUST have a support system. You need that support for the times that you jsut wanna give up and the times that you feel that there is no point. Stay around postive ppl..ppl that have good things to say bout your diet because it helps.
**Dont tell alot of ppl about yoru diet because sometimes ppl tend to make you feel bad or they are just simply insensitive to how important this is for you**
