I was being treated for a staph infection above my eyelid and was on my last day of antibiotics (on a thursday) so I called her office and they said she was out until Monday. The infection was still present and I wasn't sure if I needed to continue on antibiotics or what.

The receptionist said she didn't take calls after hours because she was a dermatologist and her patients didn't have emergencies so no one was on call for her either.

Should I find a new doctor?

Well. In the last few years I've gained about 25-30lbs and I want to lose it by September for a fresh new school year.
I know I need to watch what I eat and excercise. But skating season's over and easter's here. So now I'm surrounded by junkfood and no means of fitness.
I heard walking works good though. So I'm willing to try that. Apparently an hour and half a day will help me get my goal weight.
Any suggestions or words of encouragement are VERY welcome!
Thanks,
WannabeLighter.

This week, I have slacked off on taking my daily multivitamin and I have been running out of energy very early in the evening. Early as in a 22 year old being ready for bed at 8:00 p.m. who is usually up to 12 or 1 most nights. I also haven't been sleeping well at night. My work load has been a little heavier during the day, but nothing outside of my physical ability. Is this a possible result from the multivitamin, or what?

So someone suggested to me that escapism is a mental illness. That made me LAUGH! Escapism seems to be a good thing! I don't read fiction. If I have a problem brewing in my life, rather than talking to someone, I just go online and look up scientific articles or things I'm curious about for extended periods of time (5+ hours)...but I'm learning. I daydream and I can be detached, but while I am doing this...I'm generally thinking of practical things. When I feel anxious, I use NyQuil so I fall asleep and in the morning, I don't care about the problem anymore. It is so ridiculous. If anything, escapism is a healthier way to cope than exposing your feelings to people who don't really care. So enlighten me, how can this possibly be bad?

If you do, then read on. after you act. I want to hear your comments and feeling on this subject

FDA Regulators Using Legal Trickery to Kill Alternative Procedures and Products
The FDA is using legal maneuvering to end your access to natural health products (like vitamins, minerals and herbs) and natural health therapies of all sorts. Again. This time, their ploy is to declare the therapies are "Medicine" so any non-physician who uses them will be practicing medicine without a license. Since these practices are "Medicine", any products used would be untested drugs and therefore forbidden.
Your Comments are Vitally Important
Public, professional and industry comments are being accepted on the FDA proposal to "capture" alternative procedures and products as "medicine" and then make them illegal. The history of these repressive attacks by the FDA makes it clear that public outcry, IN HUGE NUMBERS, is the only effective tool that natural health supporters have to change this disastro

No unproven methods.

I do not have asthma, firstly.

I am just curious if I have bad allergies or if it's something more serious, like bronchitis (which I had a month ago and, yes, I took all of the anti-biotics the doctor prescribed).

My symptoms include very frequent cough, not suppressible by medicine, tip nose is in chill-like pain, runny nose, constant sniffling, fever (controllable with Tylenol), and headaches when I first get up for about 1-2 hours.

I first started coughing 5-10 times a day 4 days ago, then it picked up. Only until yesterday did it really, really become a problem.

I'm 14 and my allergies have never been a problem until now, assuming this is what it is. I was born in July, which according to some websites should be my worst allergy month.

Thanks for all suggestions/answers in advanced. I do plan to see a doctor, but depending on the apparent severity will decide how soon I go.

My friend keisha problem is that I have a strange vaginal itch. Sort of a surface itch mostly around the vulva, right where the pubic hair begins. Sometimes the itch extends inside the vulva. Once in a while I would get a hard, pimple like bump on the vulva. No discharge, no pain and it goes a way after a while. I have no STDs, I've checked with my doctor. I have no abnormal discharges or ordors. This is so strange. Any ideas? I have that problem but thing is I'm a virgin

If essentially all that happened was the products were taken in their natural state then why do they tend to cost more. Am I missing something? I mean that question in the literal sense. One example is that you can get a 5 pound bag or refined sugar for 2-3 dollars but a 2 pound box of sugar in the raw cost me almost 4 dollars

Its an ulcer caused by prescription pain killers. Is a random day of uncomfortable pain normal with an ulcer? Is it still healing fine?

I've been taking Nexium once per day for about 2 weeks. I'm on a special diet and I don't think I'm doing much to upset it, I'm not sure what caused my pain today.

The only thing I did yesterday was have a glass of orange juice which I realized is bad. Can one glass cause my pain today?
