Its an ulcer caused by prescription pain killers. Is a random day of uncomfortable pain normal with an ulcer? Is it still healing fine?

I've been taking Nexium once per day for about 2 weeks. I'm on a special diet and I don't think I'm doing much to upset it, I'm not sure what caused my pain today.

The only thing I did yesterday was have a glass of orange juice which I realized is bad. Can one glass cause my pain today?

I think Nexium and other proton pump inhibitor drugs are the foundation for more serious problems down the road. I took them for years before finding better solutions.

Apple cider vinegar is amazing for helping the stomach. 1 Tablespoon of ACV in 8 oz. of water, twice a day, you will be amazed. I recommend using Bragg's brand, it is pure.

Raw cabbage really helps ulcer pain.

hi this may sound weird to you but I have a feeling that you are on pain killers for shoulder pain which is what has caused the ulcer, you need to stop taking pain killers or at least dont rely so heavily on them & try some alternative healing, try some bowen therapy or reiki, or whatever you feel drawn to, if you cant afford this try learning yoga or qi gong, there are many good dvds that you can follow from home, you will be amazed at what the body can heal with complimentary healing, prescribed drugs only mask the symptoms, not fix the problem..
believe me I have been there before....
good luck

I think the glass of orange juice could cause todays pain.... also stressors could cause more acid production too... Ask you doc about Carafate.... This prescription med is great for damage to the stomach and esophagus lining... and will calm the burning like water on a fire...
