I'm a guy answering this question which is probably weird. But whatever. When I was in Army basic training I used a product called "Nair". It's like waxing minus the pull the freaking hair out of your leg part. You just lather it up and the hair wipes off. For those that are wondering. When you're in basic training, showering is a privilege, not a necessity. Body hair traps dirt, moisture and smell and when you can't shower everyday it really helps not to have that extra net of nasty on you. Shaving is effective but you have to do it every 3 days. Waxing hurts like hell and can be expensive but it lasts way longer. Nair is less expensive than waxing and it lasts almost as long. I'd say go with that.

Trim excess pubes, shave outside areas to make it look neat if that's your preference. Butt hair in the crack is a pain, best to squat in the shower, wet it really well, and use a disposable shaver, using your finger to guide the head. Tread softly, that tissue back there will bleed readily, so use plenty of lube like shave gel or conditioner, and stroke from inside the crack to the outside. One of the less enjoyable things about being a guy. Now if you have a willing partner, let them do the "dirty work". I know a few guys that shave each other, but are completely heterosexual, just something that is easier if someone else does it. Really must be close friends to shave your friend's butt!

Laser hair removal treatments will get rid of your hair permanently. My friend at work did it. She had to go back 3 times. It cost her $110 for a 30-minute session. She said it was totally worth it because she was so hairy and didn't have to deal with shaving or waxing every so often.
Also electrolysis is another way to remove your body hair permanently and it works much better and more effective, but you have to find someone who does it well and has a lot of experience. It is also more painful than laser.

No need to remove pubic hair -- it's healthful and very sexy! Bald pubes really look sick. As for the butt hair, I wouldn't want to shave anywhere I can't see. Use baby wipes instead of toilet paper to keep it real clean, but you take a real risk if you start poking around in that area with anything sharp. You could wax it if you can afford it and can stand the pain. But leave the manly pubic hair, please!
