STDs are Sexually Transmitted Diseases. Some STDs can be transmitted via close, casual contact. Knowing which STD it is would help me in giving you advise. As a general rule, I would not share items that would cause you to come in contact with bodily fluids (blood, vaginal secretions, breast milk) - razors, toothbrush, etc.

How old are you? A STD is passed with intimate contact. You figure it out. And why is your mother sharing her most intimate information with you?

first you should get tested 'seriously' and if you are positive, then you should find a way to treat it.
