I am looking at a recipe that requires me to use just the egg yolks. Can I save the egg whites to use at a later time? If yes, about how long can I keep them?

The recipe I am making says use fresh cranberries but I boiled them along with the other cranberries that I had to boil for a dessert. What should I do? Can I just make the relish or should I send hubby to the store for fresh cranberries

I'm making a dish for Thanksgiving that contains green beans and (marinated) artichoke hearts...I'm just going to bake them with some olive oil, grated parmesan and italian bread crumbs. What are some good suggestions to add to the dish to give it a little more pizzazz.....seasonings or additional ingredients?

I want to make corn casserole with the Jiffy mix, but every recipe I find has sour cream in it. Is there any way to make it without the sour cream?

i recently tried to make my favourite, potatoes and turnip mashed together... and my dad said to use the turnip his friend gave him from his garden. When i chopped it up and boiled the "turnip", it wasn't orange, it was white. Then, when i mashed it up, it had the same texture as saurkraut. My dad is convinced it is turnip, but i almost threw up. it looked like a turnip (with soem purple and same core like thingy on top), and looked exactly like a turnip except it didn't have the wax that grocery stores put on it. What was this mysterious plant?! Was is sauerkraut?

spare me the.. "you didn't spell this right crap", cause i dont care.

And if a recipe calls for kosher salt, is it okay to use iodized salt?

I have WAY too much left. Obviously, my mother didn't realize to get deep dish crusts, so I'm left with about 2-3 cups of the puree. What can I make with it? I used the Libby's Pumpkin recipe.

Umm what part of the turkey are they exactly? This has been bothering me for about 2 years..I got a pot of em boiling for the stuffing as I type this (helping my mom prepare for tomorrow) ..and I've always wondered what part of the body they are from..

They look kinda weird...almost like testicles but I doubt they are..ok well I hope someone sheds some light on it..Happy Turkey Day All!

So far I have put sliced keilbasa into a crockpot with a can of beer, half jar of jalepenos, and some ketchup. Is that it or should I add something else. I feel like I am forgetting something. UGH!

How much harder/more time-consuming is it to make the pie from scratch, i.e not from a can? Either type of recipes are welcome.

I put in canned yams, sugar, brown sugar, salt, raisins, spiced rum, apple pie spice, toasted pecans, and vanilla. It's a new recipe and I want to see if anyone thinks it sounds good. I can stick in some coconut if it would help. I boiled them till the liquid reduced.

Can I unwrap the turkey the night before, I need to get the giblets out since I want to make the dressing tonite instead of tom.? Can I just wrap it back up with saran wrap or does it need to stay in the original wrapping? I know this is probably a dumb question, but I need to know.
