Can I unwrap the turkey the night before, I need to get the giblets out since I want to make the dressing tonite instead of tom.? Can I just wrap it back up with saran wrap or does it need to stay in the original wrapping? I know this is probably a dumb question, but I need to know.

Thanks guys, we plan to deep fry it instead of roasting. So don't worry I'm not stuffing it. I guess I should get off of answers and start prepping!

Unwrap it. You can even store it in the roasting pan if it has a lid.

Yes. OK to unwrap tonight. It does not have to use the original wrapping again. Toss wrapping unless has tips you wish to keep. It would be good to have it covered with saran wrap, foil or covered in a pan so it doesn't start drying out.

Even covered with a damp towel will work.

No problem unwrapping it tonight, and since its out you can prep it, so its ready to get seasoned and popped in the oven in the AM. Hope you don't have a long night ahead of you....

(I do, but that's only because i can't tear myself away from answers!)

Happy Thanksgiving
