Believe it or not, dental floss works great! It's actually a tip that I picked up from Julia Child - one of the all time greatest chefs! It's best to use unwaxed (due to the flavor, I'm sure) - but in a pinch - what the heck! Trust me on this, because I have done it - it works wonderfully!

No. Unwaxed = OK. Wax melts & get onto bird.
Garbage bag ties if wrapped in paper (not wrapped in plastic). Twist together to make it longer.
Otherwise, wrap foil on leg ends so they don't get too dark.

Don't use floss, that would be weird. I suppose if the floss wasn't mint flavored, it would be ok...
