I want to make a Thai chicken curry for my boyfriend. I have a recipe, but it calls for a few things that I am not sure where to get (we don't have an asian market in my town, unfortunately). I want to know how available a few ingredients are or if there are any acceptable substitutions. Are these available in most large grocery stores with an asian section? They are:

fresh lemongrass
shrimp paste
asian fish sauce
coconut milk & cream (is there a big difference?)

Thanks in advance for your help!

But I'm single and dont own a spatula (ha, I can spell it though, it was on the Police Academy test).

What I need to know is what do you think are the best frozen dinners. I have to be on call 24/7 and really can't take the time to cook. Thanks.

I like to buy bread in quantity, and freeze. I use it up quite fast, but no matter how long it's in the freezer, it always comes out hard. Is this common, or am I doing something wrong?

I want to make garlic mashed potatoes for dinner tonight. I'm hoping to find a simple easy to make recipe. I have red potatoes, butter, milk, garlic powder, etc. Can I make it with this? Or do I need a different type garlic? Thanks for the help!

Also, I found one recipe online using garlic juice. Does anyone know where garlic juice can be found?
