Maybe not soggy, but you know what I mean. Is there anyway to do it with the microwave, or is the oven the only way to leave it crisp?

Yes, I do realize that the midwest is made up of all kinds of people from many different places/backgrounds - but I guess what I am looking for is some good "ol meat and potatoes" recipes. My husband was born in the midwest and has been living here in California for the past 5 years, where he met me :)
He misses the type of food from where he comes from. Any recipes?
Thanks~

Oh...and I have asked his mom for some recipes, but she only gave me a couple. Looking to get new ideas.

me and my grandma get into about throwin out food. she thinks a lil germs dont hurt nobody etc. i feel yea that might be true but i dont live that way so i throw out bad food. anyway she cooked some chicken and rice...very good, 2-3 days later, i noticed a green (wet ) spot on the chicken, looked liked mold but it wasnt the typical bread mold, just a light green spot which was not seasoning related. Help me prove with pics, research that chicken can mold or get green spots to settle an argument between two stubborn peeps.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

Okay, I want THE BEST homemade salad dressing recipes you have. I'm particularly interested in a Hot Bacon dressing and a good old fashioned 1,000 Island. But any others you have I will greatly appreciate. I collect recipes like some folks collect stamps.
