Yes you can - gently - but don't do it until it starts to cook - which it will on defrost if you're not careful. But, here's a recipe that calls for frozen pork chops and makes them very moist and tender. Take those frozen chops, take a can of condensed cream of ..... (your choice) soup. Place the soup in a pan, add about 1/2 can water and stir. Drop your frozen chops in the pan and add enough water to barely cover. Stir. Bring to a boil, turn down your heat to a simmer and simmer for 30 minutes. Those pork chops will be cooked just right, very juicy and tender. Serve with rice and a veggie. My father taught me that recipe but he used frozen chicken pieces which also works great. He also would cook up a potato, mash it, (add the butter, salt, pepper and a little milk) put it in a soup bowl, add the chicken piece right next to the mashed potato and then pour the soup mix over everything in the bowl. Very good that way. You can do the same thing with the chops. No need to thicken the soup.

Yes, but it is better to let it defrost in the open. It is also better to cook any meat at room tempreture rather than from cold.

Don't waste time with the microwave. Put the chops in a plastic bag and put into warm water. You don't part cook them this way......
