I am cooking turkey wings for dinner and my oven is not working properly. Is it possible that I could boil/simmer my turkey wings with onion, garlic and seasonings? Will it come out the same as if I was to bake them? I am also going to pour turkey gravy on them after they are done.....

I am making pasta with a creamy sauce tonight and I don't have time to go to the grocery store. I have 2 recipes for a cream sauce and I have partial ingredients for both. I want to combine the recipes. Would this work? Taste good?

1. Melt 2 tbsp of butter in saucepan.
2. In a small bowl, whisk 1/3 cup flour with 1 cup skim milk. Add 1/2 cup sour cream and 1 tbsp lemon juice.
3. Add to saucepan and whisk until sauce begins to thicken.
4. Add parmasan and pepper to taste.

I was going to add some veggies like cauliflower, onion and broccoli to the sauce and serve over pasta.

Will this turn out? I'm not used to making creamy sauces.

I'm looking for a recipe for Mexican meatballs in a crockpot. We are doing a Mexican food buffet for a graduation open house. Something similar to the cocktail meatballs, except using an enchilada or taco seasoned flavored sauce in place of the barbeque and grape jelly sauce recipe. I will use 2 bags of the pre-made 5 lb frozen meatballs. Anybody have any good recipes or ideas?

When I was living in Georgia, my local Whole Foods Market had the best Olive bar. One of my favorite things to purchase were these peeled and separate garlic cloves soaked in olive oil. They were so delic!!! I would eat as is! (lol) I have since moved and tried purchasing jars of garlic but they don't taste as good. My roommate in college used to eat the same thing. She found hers in a jar at some Itailian market...any suggestions...Thanks! - Garlic Craver

I have no idea what you cut off or even how. Any ideas with how to season them or how to make them tasty would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, there's this dish a lot of the times you'd see on the menu of a congee and noodle place or a dim sum place.
It's chow mein that's usually only made with bean sprouts and soy sauce and then they sprinkle seasame seed on it.

So every time I try making this, it either tastes bland or too salty but never tastes the same. What kind of seasoning do they use and when do they use it?

Also is there any kind of trick that makes it so the noodles won't soak in oil as much? Some places I've eaten at, when I take it back home to eat, the noodles get a bit soggy and oily while at some other places the noodles stay great. Is there a trick to this? Boil noodles in water before frying? Use salt?

Thanks

Actually what I want to make is the mixture for strawberry shortcake. I used to use Bisquik, but want to use whole wheat flour. The only recipes I've found, or the one that looked like it was what I wanted, called for whole wheat baking flour, which I don't have. Can I use regular whole wheat flour?
