I find it quite ironic that cookies are baked...
and other foods like hamburgers or whatever are cooked.
Any one else find this strange?? Any insights??

My cake recipe just says to use 1/3 cup oil, does it mean olive oil? Should I use sour cream instead?

I'm looking for an egg salad recipe for about 10-12 people with eggs and peas in it but no celery and not much mayo (three cups seems like a whole lot).

Whenever I receive freezer jam as a gift, it's always in a cute glass jar. However, all the recipes I find on-line call for plastic containers to store the jam in.

This leaves me with a question - if I use the glass jars instead, do I have to sterilize them first? And if so, how do I do that? (How long to boil, do I use tongs to handle them...etc)

Thanks!

Has anyone here eaten alaskan pollock? Is it strong or mild? I don't like really fishy fish, so I was curious how it tastes before trying it. Does anyone have any good recipes to suggest, while I'm at it?
