yes they are similar. Depending upon what you are using them for cracker crumbs can produce a slightly crunchier texture

ummm.. both are crumbs. think about it. Assuming that by
"bread crumbs" you mean the kind you already made, there is a slight texture difference. Personally, I wouldn't use cracker crumbs. I would think either could be used for coating for frying. And it would depend on the recipe for any other use.

Similar in texture and looks. Bread crumbs brown faster when used in frying.

They are basically the same but the use depends on the recipe... for instance I like to use bread crumbs for stuffed mushrooms and crap stuffing for fish etc. but I like to use cracker crumbs for meatloafs soups etc.

Yes, they are similar. Cracker crumbs are usually courser than bread and are more dry/crunchy.
