I am cooking turkey wings for dinner and my oven is not working properly. Is it possible that I could boil/simmer my turkey wings with onion, garlic and seasonings? Will it come out the same as if I was to bake them? I am also going to pour turkey gravy on them after they are done.....

They taste better when baked but yes you can boil them and then fry them a little to get a crispy outter crust on them.

Instead of boiling them, how about "braising" them in a sauce of your choice. The cooking method is slower, which allows for the flavors to meld better. You might consider brining them first, if you like that, and then placing them in a mixture of barbecue sauce, cherry jam, a teaspoon of hot sauce, a little garlic, salt, and pepper and slow cook them in a large skillet on top of the stove.

They'll be really juicy. Pan fry them after they are cooked to give the outside a crispy coating if you want but it's not necessary
