I have paste type food color, like for coloring icing, but I have never tried to color coconut. I am trying to make a bunny cake for Easter, but I am not sure exactly how to go about it. Any suggestions would be great.

Not a cornish hen but a hen. Does the term "hen" apply more to age of the chicken?

I am baking a cake right now, but I need to make the icing. Does anyone know how to make this icing? I just don't know the measurements or consistency the icing should have when stirring and adding more sugar or adding more milk. Do you ice the cake when it has cooled down? Many thanks in advance for the answer.

My husband and I will be going on a trip soon, and I was wondering if anyone had recipes for high energy nutritious snacks. We will be doing lots of hiking including the Grand Canyon, Bryce and Arches and need some snacks to keep us going. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks and God Bless!

In the political section, a would be defamist posed a question about what to do to the thieves who stole potatoes from his kebab shop. Personally, I believe they were simply customers who were disgusted about eating spuds with kebabs day after day. I'd rather have mine with couscous or rice. And that got me to wondering, what do you serve with them and do you have any special recipes to share?

I'm interested in your tested slow-cooker recipes that have 5-6 ingredients. I use only pure foods in my cooking, so I wouldn't use soup bases or anything with preservatives or chemicals in them. Meat is great, though I'm not a fan of browning. I appreciate your help!

my daughter and I always make easter eggs every year, and then I take the ones she made add them to her basket, and then hide her basket, this has been our tradition since she could walk, however, I have a hugh problem this year....we are putting hard wood floors in our house, and so...our stove is unhooked (gas stove) therefore, I cannot boil the eggs.....I've heard they explode in the microwave, but that you could poke a pin hole through to the yolk to prevent this.....does this work? and how long do I cook them for? it would be 12 eggs, do I cook them in water in the microwave? or just by themselves? help please! :)

Should they be warm or chilled or room temperature or what? Sometimes when I peel them the shells come right off, sometimes half the egg peels off with the shells, ruining them for deviled eggs. I can't seem to figure out what the right variables are to make the peel come off easily!

I've been asked to bake 4 cakes for a social gathering this afternoon. I've already put 2 cakes in the oven. Can I mix the batter for the other 2 while I wait for the previous ones to cook, or will the batter 'expire'?
