I was at the doctors and saw a pamplet on nutricous diet for children and I was always under the impression that doctors wanted young children to have whole milk. This said for the most nutricios way to go is low fat milk. Now I am wondering which it is?

I'm buying my wife a block set of kitchen knives for her birthday...think I'm going with a Henckles set. I know her well, I'm sure she's going to love it. I've asked for advice about which brand, a couple people seem to think this is an inappropriate gift for a woman. Why would cooking supplies be inappriopriate when guys are always asking for tools? I got a floor jack for Valentines Day and couldn't be happier... P.S. I am not a redneck, I'm pretty well educated so keep the snide comments to yourselves.

My mum is the head cook at a local primary school, she has just found out that in the new school year (september), a child with lacose intolerance will be joining the school and will be requiring school meals.

Upon speaking to the local authority it has come to light that they have no contingency plan for when a situation like this occurs.

Therefor, id be very greatful for any information you could supply on suitable meals and recipes that are lactose/dairy free and suitable for school meals and a young child

Thanks in advance

I put chicken breast (frozen at the time) in the fridge late Monday night. I planned on making it, but tonight (Thursday night) is the first chance I'll have to make it. Is it still good to use??

It's on sale today for $1 a pound. Thought I would buy two or three pounds and freeze it. My instincts say to blanch it first and then freeze. Any advice?

Does anyone know of a website that has secret recipes? For example a friend of mine gave me the recipe to a Wendy's frosty and man it tastes the same or not better than Wendy's.

This was sold in a grocery chain which closed down about 5 years ago. The store distributed it. It was a sweet sauce not very smoky at all. Does some other company market one like it?? Or do yopu have a recipe that is like it??

we've got the chavs round for dinner this week, i dont want to waste the time, money or effort on a culinary delight, i dont think they would appreciate it. i was thinking along the lines of garlic bead for starters (the frozen variety) a main consisting of waffles (birdseye) chicken nuggets(tesco value range) and beans (morrisons no frills 8 tins for a pound) with fruit cocktail(tinned) with some whipped cream(canned) for desert.................... any better ideas welcomed

Hi Folks,
I seem to be in a position of judgement as to get the caterers to to provide either S&K pie, or pudding, for a club meeting next weekend.

I shall therefore, as I have said to them, take a National Concensus, and abide by the majority.
Such is democracy.
I am voting the pudding party myself, preceded by a thick veg soup, and followed by a sherry trifle. Oh, cheese board and all that, but.

What some 50 folks will eat on the 24th is in your hands.

Bon appetite, I hope !

Bob.
