What is the best way to remove the membrane from a rack of ribs?

Rip it off. If you can't get a good hold of it, use a paper towel.

If the rack is frozen....it comes off alot easier. Stick a butter knife along a bone in the middle until you get a hold of it....and it comes off with little effort.

Grab it and pull. Don't pull in a "yanking" motion or it'll rip and it'll be harder to take off. Pull it firmly and the whole thing should come off in one piece. Good luck!
