Please help. This will be my first time putting together corned beef and cabbage. I can follow directions very well, but there are too many sites here on line. Might I ask an experienced someone who has prepared this meal to help me please? In simple terms. And also, what can I prepare to go with it? Do I serve it with a certain wine or something? What kind of vegetable?
(The corned beef is 4 pounds--purchased from a store called Wegeman's in New Jersey, $16.00).Never bought corned beef before.
Thank you all. Am preparing for a man of course.

I am making it with mole sauce (from a jar, unfortunately not from scratch) and it says to cook the chicken before heating it up in the sauce.

I follow recipes to the tee. Every recipe I've tried - from several different cook books - has burned. I live at a high altitude. Could that be the reason? :(

I have 1 16ounce bag of egg noodles, 1 large can of cream of mushroom soup, 1 can of diced tomatoes, 1 can of pork and beans, 1 can of carrots and 1 can of chicken chunks and 1 can of artichokes 1/2 can of plain tomato sauce in the fridge, half a bottle of salsa (those bulk sized things) and a large bottle of "Frank's Red Hot buffalo wings hot sauce" leftover from the superbowl

AND THAT"S ALL I HAVE IN THE HOUSE - and I'm stuck inside - so there is NO possbile way for me to get to the store to buy anything else. (I do have a TON of herbs and spices)

Can someone make a recipe out of all or some of the items mentioned - and please tell me how to make it - I'm a terrible cook! Thanks for your help.

My mother was not from the cook side of her family and boiled most everything she made, maybe that is why this cake always tasted good to me she boiled the first part before she added the flour to bake.
I know it didn't have milk or eggs and that it had sugar raisans, nuts we collected from the walnut tree, oil, flour.
Now that I am in my 40's I have been hungry for it Qould anyone have the recipe or even heard of it?

I am looking for something that is very easy and taste great. Right now, I'd say cherry or apple pie since all you have to do is buy the shells, filling and bake. So try to think and share your recipe that tops the standard apple pie. I'd also say that I'm not concerned about the "fastest" but easiest.
