Sometimes when I mince fresh garlic and put it in butter for garlic bread, the minced garlic pieces turn green. Why is this? It's only happened when I've made garlic butter a couple times.

I'm supposed to bring a cheese/sausage/cracker tray to an event. The bad thing is - my son has a game at 6:00 - it will last about a hour - then we have the event afterwards.
Will the food stay good in the car for 2 hours? If not, what should I do?
It's about 50 degrees where I live right now.

PLEASE do not respond with Saltines or Rits. I'm looking for suggestions on good crackers to use that will not overbear the taste of the cheese itself.

My lovely irish mom used to make corned beef and cabbage every St. Patricks day. The way she prepared it seemed effortless and the meat was so tender - melted in your mouth!! She said there was a trick to it. She passed away and the recipe was lost with her. Any help is appreciated.

I have a slow cooker and would love to use it for this...I don't really have to use all the beans together...oh and my hubby doesn't like veggies, or chunks of tomatoes, cream of any kind of soup, and not crazy about onions and peppers either...Thanks in advance
