Take a large can of chili and pour it into a 9x9 baking dish. Mix up one package of cornbread mix (I prefer Marie Callendar's brand ;)), and carefully pour it over the top of the chili. Bake according to the cornbread directions. Tasty goodness! :)

This recipe is incredibly delicious and I promise your family will beg you for it over and over.
If you have company coming it's the fastest dish you can prepare and be guaranteed everyone will love it.
Spaghetti Sauce
Serves 10
2 large jars of Ragu spaghetti sauce (any flavor)
1 large onion, chopped
5 cloves of fresh garlic, chopped
Package of Sweet Italian Sausage (containing 6)
Small amount of oil, preferably olive oil
I pkg of Angel Hair spaghetti
1. In a 5 qt saucepan, saute the onions and garlic in the oil until soft and clear, but not browned.
2. Add the 2 Jars of Ragu spaghetti sauce, and bring to a slow boil.
3. Add the 6 sausages whole, do not cut up, and bring back to a slow simmer.
4. Cover and simmer slowly for approximately 25 minutes.
While the sauce is simmering, cook the spaghetti according to package directions. When it's done, drain and add some olive oil to prevent it from sticking to itself.
Serve with hot garlic bread and a green salad.
Suggestions:
During the last 5 minutes of cooking you can add a drained can of black olives, a drained can of sliced mushrooms, or both. The size of the cans depends on your own taste.

Get a crock pot and go hunting the Net for great recipes. You can have a gourmet meal every night with little effort. If you know you are going to be gone more than the usual 6-8 hour cooking time get an automatic timer and set that so it will be done as you walk in!! I've done this for years. Get 2 pots and you can have your desert done too and waiting.

If you're into eating healthy, invest in a countertop electric steamer. They are wonderful. I like to put some fish filets in the steamer with a little I Can't Believe it's Not Butter spray and some spices sprinkled on each piece. I have a double-tray one, so I put the meat on the bottom and some fresh or frozen veggies in the top tray. You can do this with any meat and veggie, adjusting the time based on what kinds, but with chicken or fish filets you can usually have dinner on the table in 30 minutes or close to it. And the steam keeps the meat so moist!

The quickest weeknight dinner ideas are the Homebake and Complete Supper boxed meals from the grocery store. They usually cost between $4 and $6, but that's actually cheaper than buying the ingredients separately. My husband didn't know they were actually meal sets until I told him! They always turn out excellent and they take about 5 minutes to prepare and between 30 and 45 minutes to bake.

Crock pot cooking.Prepare everything you need the evening before such as chopping veggies etc.Have your meat ready.Pop into the crockpot in the morning and VOILA dinner is ready to be served.
Or...........you can set aside a few hours on a Sunday aft. or whenever and spend that time cooking, baking and freezing for the week.Works great!!! Not much cleanup after your evening meal either.

well i have several... chicken and dumplings
you precut carrotts celery potatoes and get a can of green beans...put in 3cups of chicken broth add salt and pepper and (precooked chicken) put some ramen noodles (none of the broth packet ) break them up!!! and sour cream....put biscuits on top cook at 350 for 35min-45min and there you have it! you could also try bubba burgers those are really really good. another thing i do is when i have time get some boneless, skinless chicken breasts and marinate them in barbaque sauce in the fridge (covered) for 2 days. Then i bake them in the oven and it always comes out great. serve with mashedpotatoes and gravey, and a veggie. GOOD LUCK
